This page aims to give you ideas for activities in Dubai in case you'd be stuck between 2 flights or if you're tired of shopping. This section is complementary to the "What to see?" but we only show here the entertainment part, not the cultural part.

A round in hot air balloon

You have to provide a big half day for this activity, with a starting very early in the morning (about 4:00am). They will lead you away in the middle of the desert at about 1 hour drive from the city, you will discover a beautiful sunrise from the air ... Information and reservation at ballooning.ae. Faire du Ski a Dubai

This activity perhaps not much thrill you, but it is the one who has contributed greatly to create the "buzz" around Dubai a few years ago. Located inside the shopping center "Mall of the Emirates" you'll get all the necessary equipment (ski, jacket etc ...). The contrast is striking enough because of the environment and the outside temperature, but unfortunately it is not the Swiss Alps ...


A ride in a helicopter above the city

This water park is ideal if you have children and if you want good cooling. Located in the Jumeirah district (Jumeirah Beach Road) you will discover numerous of water attractions according to your sensitivity to thrill.

Take a hike on camels and down the dunes with snowboards

You know the sandboarding ? it's like snowboarding but on sand. Well, it not slip in the same way but you have to try ! 210 AED / pers. for sandboarding, 400 AED for hiking in camels.

Just for the pleasure to see some green grass without raining in Dubai, there are 6 golf courses in the city. Average price of a Green Fee: 100 € (rental trucks and others). You can often borrow clubs on site.

It happens to the "Ras Al Khor Nature Reserve" (www.wildlife.ae) and you can discover nearly 270 species of birds. Open from 9am to 4pm, free admission.

Visit the highest skycraper

If you are looking for a breathtaking view of the city you can take a trip to the 124th floor. The entrance and reservations are made inside the shopping center "Dubai Mall". It is strongly advised to book in advance (online directly www.burjkhalifa.ae/en) because of the high levels of tourists.


Go for a sail

You can cross the inlet on a typical wooden boat called "Abra". Cost: 1Dhs the race ... visit the docks in Deira or Bur Dubai.
